2. Identity, Marque & Shop Log
TTJ3C / TTJ4C :: IDENTITY
First product: name tag
Start with a simple product that gives you something real to design, make, test, photograph, and improve. Create a name tag that clearly shows your name, can stand at your workspace, and can later incorporate your personal logo.
Use the NICE Design Process to identify needs, rank useful extras, investigate possible solutions, create a first version, and evaluate it against the requirements before improving it.
Personal marque
Create a simplified automotive-style mark that can be recognized at small size, reproduced cleanly, and manufactured as a physical badge or decal.
Personal emblem
Develop a richer identity piece that can show more of your values, place, heritage, interests, and aspirations.
Shop log
Use photographs, measurements, brief captions, procedures, results, and reflections to document technical work as it happens. The shop log becomes a portfolio without requiring a long essay for every task.
