Build the workstation

Install and configure Linux on the classroom computer or use WSL on an appropriate personal Windows machine.

Learn the computer through the operating system

Inspect the real machine with commands such as lscpu, free -h, lsblk, df -h, lspci, ip addr, and uname -a.

Users, files, and packages

Work with the shell, directories, permissions, user accounts, software packages, storage, and networking as part of maintaining a usable technical environment.
